Teresa Carroll – Worship Pastor

Hobbies: Writing Music, Walking, Cooking, Shopping, Spending Time With the Kids, and Entertaining. Did I mention shopping?
Favorite Books: The Bible and anything of Beth Moore. I also like books where people have overcome adversity and conquered their fears.
Personal Goals: To build Glad Tidings into the greatest new contemporary music producing Church in America, to publish my first CD, to help my children become the best they can be, and help Henry and the other investors turn G. Brit’s into a reality.
Henry and Teresa were married on March 8, 1980. They have a daughter, Meredith Anne, who graduated from Wake Forest University and is working in here in Wilmington. She became Mrs. Bryn McSwain on March 31, 2007. Bryn and Meredith are the proud parents of a two year old son, Bennett Henry McSwain born on May 3, 2009. Henry and Teresa are proud grandparents of their first grandchild. Bennett is precious little boy and our great joy.
They also have a son, Jonathan Brent, who is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He graduated with dual majors in French and Finance.
They founded Glad Tidings Community Church in 1996.
Dawn Donato – Counseling Pastor
Dawn is an ordained Pastoral Counselor. She is a member of the American Association of
Christian Counselors and has received certified training from Light University. She graduated from Alvernia University which was a Christian based university with a Bachelors Degree in Drug andAlcohol Counseling and Rehabilitation. She has been certified as Substance Abuse Counselor for 21 years. She has worked in prevention and in youth shelter settings addressing the problems of dysfunctional family systems. She has worked in a hospital setting dealing with alcoholism and drug addiction. Dawn developed family programs to help deal with the painful wounds that result from addiction, physical abuse, sexual abuse, divorce, gambling addiction, financial problems and learning issues. She is committed to helping families and individuals heal and become the best Godhas created them to be. Dawn has seen first hand the power families have. They can build us up or tear us down. Each member plays and important part in who we become as individuals. Positive, balanced, secure loving homes allow for generations of people who have the potential to follow aGod given path full of joy. Individuals can become all God wants them to be because they are living a life guided by God’s love and direction. Children and family are Dawn’s true joy. She has been married to her soul mate for 26 years a love that started in high school. Dawn has two amazingchildren who teach her daily about the joys and trials of parenthood. She feels very blessed that God allowed each of these special people to touch her life in a very unique way.
